For a beginner, buying Silver Coins or Bullion can be a daunting task.  Which sites have the best deals? Which sites are reputable?  How do I know I am getting the real deal?

Truth is, there are many sites on the Internet ready to take advantage of naive silver investors.  Their premiums are way above the market average, but they hope they can entice new investors unaware of the true market value.

I have done all my online silver purchases through two web-sites, APMEX and eBay.  I also have heard good things about NWTM.

For APMEX and NWTM the process is rather strait forward.  They are reputable companies with high quality products.  Their prices are slightly higher than what you can find on eBay, but it does eliminate the uncertainty of buying online.  Be sure to read the article about Investing in Silver, but after you have educated yourself just find what you want and make a purchase.

eBay is my favorite way to make silver purchases online.  The deals are usually slightly better than NWTM and APMEX, and there is buyer protection through Paypal.  It is important to be aware of sellers feedback ratings in order to avoid purchasing counterfeit goods.  Only buy from reputable sellers with consistently high feedback ratings.
